Withdrawn tentacles on torch

I know the clownfish tried using it as a host at least once, and the tentacles retracted, but they came back out. Now it seems that one "stalk" of the tentacles haven't come back out for about a week I guess. The other "stalks" of the torch look fully extended and healthy. Is this something I need to take action on?
Here are my stats:
55 gallon
amm-0
nitrites-0
nitrates-5
ph-8.0
calcium - 500
alk-8
livestock-2 oscellaris, 1 flame hawkfish, 25 nassarius snails, 1 pacific conch, rock of zoanthids
lighting-175 w MH,w/actinics. MH on for about 9 hours per day.
Anyone have this experience ever?
Thanks. Debbie G:notsure:

torches are an indicator of water quility.....watch it for awhile and if not back out in a few days i would test and check everything for problems

Does anyone know if each separate "stalk" is independent of each other, or if one is sick, they'll all get sick? I just finished a water change. Water parameters are same as above. At this point one stalk is so totally retracted, that it looks like it is sealed white on top. I haven't seen the clown try using it as a host since that first time a while back. That doesn't mean he isn't doing it though. Does it sound like it could simply be harrassment?

Have you changed anything drastically?
Is there anything else abnormal with the retracted area that would indicate a disease?

Sometimes you can't really pin point on why it dies as long as you have some left and have them regrow out to more branches. Just make sure its not dieases or stress from something. I know torch have a tentence to retract and not open because they releasing some waste but for it to stay like that for a week there would be something wrong. Clowns to affect them from opening sometimes.
