But not stirring the pot, and to more sincerely answer the question, my grandparents had absolutely nothing, and neither did their brother's and sisters. And in watching and observing them, and seeing the results. There is little doubt what works and what doesn't. The people who espoused the conservative philosophy that "they were the ones responsible for their own actions." And would reap the rewards or consequences of those choices. Have been quite successful, financially and in their families. The ones that went the liberal way, oh it isn't my fault, I'm a product of my environment, and the other excuses. Well most of them failed. And have a whole host of problems. I'm not talking about how they voted. So to me it is very real. I can see very direct results.
Say what? Where do you come up with this stuff? As with my parents, and with their parents, I grew up with very little. My entire family NEVER received hand-outs from anyone, and we made our successes and failures based on our morals and values. I can honestly say I have a very fullfilling and successful life, and I would be the LAST person on this planet to label myself as a Conservative. Your problem is you want to but a label on everything and everyone. You want to judge someone based on this political philosophy of yours, and you immediately categorize people into these 'political classes' based on random statements they make during a debate or discussion. Sorry, but the world doesn't work that way.
