wondering about LR aquascaping

is it better to have the LR resting against the back of the tank? or built mountain style from the middle?

I think you get better flow with it off the glass. It is also more interesting IMO if the fish can swim behind and through the rocks. Just be sure they are stacked securely so they don't fall.

If you plan to keep your glass clean make sure you have enough room between the rock and the glass. In my 55 I had it too close to the glass and there were areas I couldn't clean and if you drop something behind the rock you may want to get it out too.

Pros and cons to both as well as personal choice. I havew some tanks with rocks touching back glass. Still has plenty of psace to allow water flow, but you sure are not gonna get a mag clear in the area. Others I have mounded up in the middle and have full access to all sides of the tank. I mainly prefer to use the back glass as a support. Once again personal preference.
