I am taking my 2004 V6 Mustang to get true dual exhaust put on with magnaflow mufflers.
Why get dual exhaust on a V6? I am getting a Cold Air Intake and a 42% reduction Underdrive Pulley before the end of this month.
Then, I am getting stage 2 heads, new cam shaft, and port & polished upper and lower intake.
Price of 2004 V6 Mustang with 30,000 miles......$11,000
Price of all modifications........$2,200
Look on your bosses face when you out run his 2004 350z and your friends face when he finds out I can out run his 2004 V8 Mustang (not the GT, the 4.6L SOHV)...........Priceless.
Why even get a V^ and go through all the trouble, V8 power without the insurance.

Besides, it is a real ego killer when a V8 owner gets beat by a V6.... :hilarious

Jason, you suck.
I had a 35th anniv. black Pony. I drove it 2.3 hrs. one way twice a day. Racked up over 100,000 miles in 2 1/2 years. Sure do miss her.

I have a company truck that I drive to work, so Tina gets to drive the Mustang every day.
Chevrolets are like a rock........they just sit there.

I have wanted a Mustang forever, and I absolutely love my 40th Anniversary.
My insurance would have gone from $60 (2002 Explorer) to $145 for the GT.
With the V6, my insurance only went up to $85.
That made the decision pretty easy.

I'll have to share that with Pat, he hates Chevy's. I read your original post to him (he was puttying the hardwood floor to refinish) and there was a respectful silence for a moment. Then one word "Sweeet". He
so loves those cars.
Glad to hear the car will be treated well daily!

Just got my Mustang back from the shop and WOW!!!!!!!!

It sounds great!
Whoever says a V6 won't sound good with true dual exhaust is an idiot.

Bleh.
Those aren't Mustangs.
My mom's car was a Mustang.
1969 Mustang Mach 1... THAT'S a car... and I miss it.
She IS getting one of the 2006 V8 Mustangs with the Pony Pack so that she can have the larger foglights in the front, though. I'm not much of a Ford person, myself.
My daddy's Corvette makes me happies. <3

My Mustang certainly is a real Mustang.
But if you want to talk about real power, my uncle in Georgia has a 71 Boss 351.
All that Mach 1 would see is tail lights.

I'll post a pic of mine tomorrow.
I know it is just a V6, but in 6 months, it is going to be one real bad a** V6.
