worm help ...

i have a couple of brittle worms that i need out.
has anyone used the traps? and if so did it work.??
iam thinking of doing a suprise attack tonight, with i flashlight and a fork.
..
theres one that i really want out, he is about 10" long and fat as a pen.
any help would be great.

If it is NOT a fireworm leave him in there,, I agree with REEF!
 
well, i have heard once they get really big they can start eating corals and start attacking crabs and other inverts. i dont want to take any chances. i have hundreds of other brittle worms. i just want to remove the big ones..
 
i reallt dont know if it is a fire worm or not. its a redish brown worm, with a patches of white hairs coming out in patchs that runs down both sides of its body, that sting when touched..

thats a bristle worm. if you want him out you can go three ways... arrow crab or turkey baster :) or trap.

I have made several traps for these guys. Look up Do it yourself PVC bristleworm trap. Or use a plastic opaque container and cut x's in it. Weight it with a rock inside and place a krill in there.
