I've been watching these thing for a month. I have no clue what they are and no pic. Prolly to small to get a shot anyway.
They are smaller than the hair on your head. Only 3/8 to 1/4 inch long. Milky white to almost clear. They seem to be collecting junk from the rock and puting it in a pile. It's like light brown stuff that collects on the rocks. I blow it away with a turkey baster and it is back a day or two later. I watch them sometimes bring this stuff to the pile. They seem to float with the current, but somehow always go right to the pile.
What are these things?

i asked this question a few days ago and no one responded. do the stretch out when they collect stuff? and stay anchored at one end? i have hundreds of them some are getting really big. ive tried to suck them up with a turkey baster but they stay attached to the rock. also mine only come out at night how about yours?

2 questions do they stay in the rock and telescope out then shrink back? or are their hairs all over and they look like they are feeling around? if they telescope could be a peanut worm. if its in the rock and has lots of hairs around it, its probably a spagetti worm. both are very good for the tank. they clean up left over food and detrius.

I have a peanut worn and 2 spaghetti worm. They clean up detritus and stuff. Great for the tank. Won't harm anything. Don't try to blow it away anymor because the actual worm is in a crack in the rock. You are just destroying his little house that he's building.
