I have no idea what it is? I thought it was a peanut worm maybe a bristle?

dont know. the red tail throws me off so do some of the other segments on the body.

Oh yuck, I'm sssooo glad that is not in my tank. How big is it? It seems to have an irridescent glow.
Cranberry will probably be able to tell you what it is.
Don't kill it. Someone will want it.

its probally about 4 inches.

My ears were burning.
Does it have any bristles or is it smooth? That lighter end is probably it forming a epitoke. Funny how you usually see a few threads around at the same time about these. That end may be filling with gametes and will evetually drop off and go swimming in the water column... you may see none of this.
EDIT: Oh the picture enlarges. I see bristles. It's just a bristleworm with an epitoke.
