The rock he came out of has been in the fuge for, at least, 3 months. Could it survive that long without a sponge? The only sponges I have anywhere are Q-tips.
Honestly don't know - but it's apparent that the answer would be yea if he's been there for three months. You can google it to find more info haven't seen anything here about them.
