Worm Id???

Sorry for no picture I just noticed this worm that was black and white striped. I could only see about an half to one inch of it Very small maybe only a milimeter in diameter. The lights were off, and when I turned them on. The worm seemed to suck into its self and disapered(spell). The worm would reach out then fall against the rock, and pull back and do it over as if it may have been eating off the rock.

Well without a pic you might as well just flip through a book blindly and pic the worm out by brail. Could be a type of spaghetti worm or perhaps an invader from the planet quipyqwok:scared:

If it is residing in a hole in the rock, and seems to unroll or roll up like a sock.... it is most likely a "peanut" worm. Kinda tiger striped tan and dark brown. Has a mouth with "fringe" around it... seems to suck off the rocks around it.... peanut worm.
I have one that is as thick as a pencile eraser. You will see more and more of them. good find.

Based on the description it sounds like a peanut worm...does it look anything like this?

Yes It looks just like that NM Reef only smaller. So are these worms good or bad? And sorry for no pic only saw it for les than a minute with the lights off.
