Worm in my Overflow?

I was looking into my overflow with a flashlight this morning to see how much detritus was building up in there and noticed what looks to be some type of worm. It is hard to see and I cannot get a picture but it looks to be a whitish colored worm about 3" inches long. I am guessing it got in some live rock but I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be and if I should leave it in the overflow.

Your post is too general for anyone to be able to answer. There are thousands of worms in this world.
Is it thin? Is it thick? Is it round? Is it flat? Does it have a noticeable head? Does it have hairy projections? ETC
Suggest you search for bristleworm pictures on this forum.
