Worm in my Tank, Friend or Foe??

Hello all, just tonight I noticed what seems to be a bristle worm in my tank. I know that bristle worms are part of a good clean up crew, but I also know that there is a particular type of bristle worm that is not good…Which one do I have

I know exactly what piece of LR this guy is hiding in, so I could get him out pretty easy if I had to.

The overwhelming majority of bristleworms are going to be fine and harmless. I wouldn't worry about it.

That is a cool looking worm. Looks harmless.
Hey, dhughesz28, that is an awesome pic of the diamond goby. Is that your diamond goby in your tank? If so, what did you set your camera at to take that picture? Mine always comes up very blurry because the fish is so white. Did you change any of the settings on your camera?

Lion..
I have a Kodak 4.0MP digital. Model NoDX6490.
To take a picture, I use the macro mode and NO zoom. The camera taks really good pics as long as the subject is within 3 inches of the glass...Here is the full view of the goby.

He was in my tank, but escaped to his death...
These fish are escape artists, so if you get one, SEAL YOUR TANK TOP!!

Fantastic pictures!! I am sorry to hear about your little guy. My first one did the same thing. The night I got him, he acclimated well and was swimming around fine (right in open view, as I had the moonlights on to see him). Well, the next day, I found him dead on my poly fiber pad in my wet/dry. He climbed into my in-tank overflow box, went all the way through my tubing and into the wet/dry

I learned my lesson and I sealed every single little whole in the tank. The diamond goby I got after him has been doing excellently though. I have had him about 3 months now and he keeps my aragonite nice and clean. Him and my huge engineer goby are buddies.
