Worm of some sort?

I got up to get a midnight snack and took a flashlight to the tank and a worm of some sort was blinded by the light and shriveled up pretty quickly back into his hole. It looked like it folded into its own body...very weird. I believe it was brown in color but I could be wrong. Im going back to bed.
