I hope someone can help me. I have this worm in my aquarium, the pet store calls it a bristleworm. I want to get rid of this thing because it is creepy looking and from what I understand you can get hurt by them. The fish store told me to buy a Bristleworm trap and that thing is useless, the dumb little thing will not go near it. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this ugly little thing? Thanks in advance for any info. :help:

got any fish in there? i'd still try the trap... if no fish in there.. try starving it out.. don't feed the tank for a few days, then one night place a piece of food in the open.. once it comes out to eat, nab it with a net.

There is no reason to get rid of it, it is a great part of a cleanup crew. They will clean up any uneaten food, or detritus or any decaying matter.

If you really dont want it in there, I took a clean beer bottle put a piece of shrimp inside put the cap back on, poked a hole in the center of the cap. after lights out put the bottle in the tank near the rocks. and wait! you might not catch it the first or second night, change the shrimp and try again! It worked for me the first night!
