worms + black ich

Yesterday we discovered My yellow tang looks to have black ich. I have read up on that. But that night I turned on a flashlight and seen little white worms swimming around in the tank. Found alot more by the sump on the glass. I was wondering are they related or are they 2 different problems? Could the worms be codapods or fire worms (all white though)? Going to fix up my qt tank today for the tang. But I am lost on the worms...

In a tank with LR or LS, little worms all over the place is basically normal, and even desireable.

In order to insure that all black ick is out of my tank I should put all fish in a QT tank for about 1 month. Is this correct?????
