Worried about my feather duster

My tank is about 3 weeks old. Cycling. testing well. I have 350 LR 300 LS. 11 damsels. My feather duster hasn't made an appearance since Monday morning. He is inches away from a powerhead and I'm worried he hasn't been able to catch any food because of the water propulsion. At the base of his anchor on the LR is a 1 1/2" long by app. 3/8" in diameter secretion. It looks like clear silicone. I'm not familar with these creatures, but would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I was told yhat if he didn't like his location ,that he'd move himself. Should I remove it? I will try to post a pic.

Invertabrates should never be introduced to a cycling tank......the duster may already be dead from an ammonia spike.
It would be best if the tank remained invertless for a couple of months so it can become a little more biologically stable for invertabrates to thrive.

Wow, and you popped 11 damsels into the tank? Even at 300 gallons, I think 3 maybe 4 would do the trick. You might have even waited another week or more before introducing fish. But, since you did, you should stay away from the inverts like dusters for a while longer. Maybe a few scavengers like crabs would be ok.
