Dang Murph..
So sorry for your loss. I'm sure you are sick. That was a beautiful fish.
Sounds like you just had a bad day. Corals stinging each other natural occurence. The Wrasse and Lion might be related if something spooked the Wrasse to jump and the Lion to painic and injure it's self behind your rockwork.

hey everyone thanks for the kind words came home today anbd the tank and all other fish seem to be doing just fine so it must have all been some horrible coinsidence!
i was wondering if fish can die suddendly of heart attacks or soemthing like humans do?? it was just so sudden and odd of the lion to die...
tank must be fine cuz my corals would have shown more issues that a lion fish...
my mandarin of 3.5 years is still doin great so its not the tank

and the pocci is doing fine well whats left of the frag after i dropped half of it on the floor

the monti is doin better now that the acan is not stinging it anymore
coris wrasse i think i may have spooked it when i walked up to the tank since thats when it jumped
other then that i guess its just a day full of bad luck coincidences??
i really appreciate everyones kind words and messages it was a lil disheartening yesterday but ill just have to get myself a fish

I'm trying to remember my fish physiology... as I recall they have moderately inefficient 2 chambered hearts. If something spooked him bad enough I'd think it very possible to have a heart attack.

Some things will never have a clear cut answer, sorry, it really sucks.

Sorry to hear about your really awful day. By the law of averages, you've used up all your aquarium bad luck for at least a whole year! Now its only good karma going forward.

Glad to hear that today is going better. Have you checked the wire to your grounding probe to make sure that it is still on. If you want I have a meter that you can borrow to check the voltage. Or you can get a cheap one from the hardware stores for about $12.
