baby b buy a test kit and a calander from your lfs. even transfering tanks and stirring it up will set your tank in shambles. take your time and enjoy the hobby. nothing is more frustrating than having your tank crashing on you every week. believe us we have all been there thinking we can do what everyone else cant. LISTEN TO YOUR ELDERS. LOL take your time and enjoy it. by the way if you take your time with it think of it this way you can enjoy something new to your tank every couple of weeks that is far more exciting than one days worth just my two cents dont get discouraged just learn.
p.s aw out of everyone you choose jefferson lol

i agree with the above their is some gret advise there,, and also ow big is the pond exactly gallon wise and footprint?? for instance on my 300 gallon tank i have a skimmer rated for 750 gallons and i have a 45 gallon sump and a 55 gallon fuge.. its ALOT of filtration
yes ponds can be cheap but the equiptment to run them is not cheap BY ANY MEANS...also if you have a 750 gallon pond you will need a feew thousand dollars worth of equiptment to run them since your loooking at almost 1000 bucks alone for the skimmer.. there is ALOT of planning and especially upkeep for these tanks..
you also need a few 55 gallon drums constantly filled with top off water and water changes. i do 75 gallon water changes alone on my 300 gallon tank which measn you would need somewhere around 150 gallon ater changes for a 750 gallon pond.. evan a 300 gallon pond needs IMO AT LEAST 75 gallon water changes like id o and thats bare minimum
hope i helped!
