would a flame angel and a naso tang do well together? 90 tank only other fish is a mandarin goby.

I thought you were going to take that Mandarin back to the LFS?
I don't see why the Naso and Flame should have any trouble.

The only problem I see is that the Naso will get very very large. I've seen Naso's in much larger tanks that seem very cramped.

i was gonna return the mandarin back to the store but i called them and the manager wast there and the guy on duty said he didnt think they did. he then topld me that he has had one for over a year and its doing fine and he got it when he first got his tank. he said you just have to feed it brine shrimp.

I hope you are successful....Mandarin taking to brine shrimp is a hit or miss thing from what I understand.
Maybe you could look into a refugium to help out your pod population. Just a thought!
Good luck.........MCF

That is true that mandarins are hit or miss with brine. And you must fortify the brine shrimp because otherwise they are nutritionally very poor.

tangs in angels are fine imo. but put the tang in after the angel, especially if the tang is larger when you get him. flames are small but will claim some territory and then the tang can go in. our tang and angel graze algae all day together, theyve become really good friends. its fun to watch. :)

the two fish will be ok together. i have had naso on two different occasions and they are the most friendly fish. never had a problem with either of these two fish. i have both in my tank now. they hardly ever come together. the naso will be more aggresive when it comes to eating but the flame can hold its own.

i heard a naso tang can get to be a foot and a half long. this will definatly be too large for a 90 gallon right?
