Would a small Snowflake Moray Eel leave a large Maroon Clownfish alone?

Hey .. I was just wondering if a small Snowflake Eel would eat a large Maroon Clownfish with an anemone ... any help?

I'm looking at getting a snowflake eel when I set up my new 240gal. tank....but I'm not going to transfer my medium sized maroon clown into it because it seems those eels will eat just about anything if they are hungry enough. I was at my lfs about a month ago, they had a tank with a snowflake eel, 2 black volitan lions (medium sized), a dwarf lion, and a trigger of some kind. They demonstrated live feeding to us with feeder fish, then threw a baby mouse in. The eel was all over it and had it gone in no time. Also, one of the Lion's had a big gash in it's tail area - lfs said it was probably from the eel. After that I'm not taking any chances. I think they are really cool, but mine will not eat live.

well .. what I wanted in my 65 gallon FOWLR .. was a juvenile Blue Hippo Tang (have that in now) a Indian yellowtail Angelfish (have that in now) a Flame Dwarf Angelfish, a yellow Longnosed Butterflyfish, a Radiata Lionfish, a Big Maroon Clownfish, and a small (8-12 inches) snowflake moray ... the clown would have an anemone so I thought that would make a difference since the clown can take refuge in there .. do you think that the fish I plan on getting would do fine together?

IMO, this is WAAAYYYYYY overrstocked for this size tank. In time, I think the tank will fail

If you think it's overstocked what do you suggest I take out of the list?

Yeah, I would also agree that your tank is overstocked. Do you have a big tank upgrade in the very near future? The tang, yellowtail angel, snowflake eel, and long nose butterfly will all need larger tanks.

yeah I'm in the process of buying a 210 right now to replace my 90 that I also have .. I'll take the fish out of my 65 once they get big enough and put them in the 210 but for now .. what do you think I should take out to keep from overstocking? .. how about I don't put the Flame Dwarf Angel in?

about a month .. but I plan on keeping the blue hippo in my tank for about a year .. or until it reaches 4 1/2 inches .. whichever comes first .. and my indian yellowtail isn't going to grow anymore .. i don't think .. i've had it for about 9 months and It was growing when I first got it but I haven't seen it grow for a long time and it's about 4 inches right now .. and the butterfly I don't think gets too big but If it does then I'll just move it ..

Not to be argumentative, but you could probably stand to chill a bit Jamie. If no one responds in 20 minutes there's no need to freak out. I also think the lion (while great looking) is a poor addition to your tank. In the 210, it's a different story, but even then I'd be wary of providing the lion with mouth-sized swimming fishsticks.

I do understand that you are on a time limit, but it is also important to understand that it can come out as being a bit demanding and that can impact the response you get. I'll admit that I read this and was like, "uh, I/we DO have other things to do!" and I actually did not respond because of it!
So while you are on a time constraint with access, which we may not understand...we may equally be on a time constraint. I would just be really aware of the tone of posting. Not knowing your situation made this sound really annoying, and most will not know your situation!

Unless the tank is crashing, few answers are so critical that they need to be answered that day. As patience is a good rule of thumb in this hobby, if not a critical one, let limited internet access force patience and research, LOL
A stocking question, which is a long term issue, should not need an answer in half an hour. If it does, do not get the fish!

My opinion on these situations is:
If you have a 65, stock the 65.
If you have a 210, stock the 210.
But do not stock the 65 based on the 210.
If you want more and larger fish, wait for the 210 to be established and add them directly.
This is true, IMO, of the lion, tang, butterfly and angel.
