Would a triggerfish bother a lobster?

This guy at my lfs said that if I put a lobster in with a Niger trigger the trigger would tear the lobster to pieces. Is this true? What about the same scenario with a Dogface puffer and lobster?

If its a small lobster then yes it will be shredded but i have heard of people with large lobsters and triggers and puffers.

Both of those are predatorial carnivorous fish. If the fish is bigger than the invert, there is a very good chance it will eat it.

Also, keep this in mind...
Not only are Puffers and Triggers carnivores and will eat Lobster...Lobster will also eat Puffers and Triggers (as well as just about any other fish) if the fish are small enough...

i agree, i watched a lobster kill a very large cow fish then yake out a large VERY large puffer. Was very sad.
