would i need LEGS for a PC hood of this size

30 inch hood for a 40 high.. 130 watts...
do i need legs or can it sit on top of my glass top?

I think one of your concerns will be the heat generated with the glass top. If you chose that route pay close attention to the temp of the water. That is one of the problem i encountered.:nervous:

Might have a problem overheating the light fixture as well. I'd make sure there is at least a small air gap between the tank and fixture.

I had my PC sitting directly over my glass. I had problems with heat and temp control. I have since put my light on its legs removed the glass and now I have a constant temp b/t 79-80. Do you have this fixture? What do you intend to keep in this tank?

havent got it yet.. i'm considering only getting it if i NEED it... ie, if i get an anemone and it doesnt do well under my current lights.
