Would my fish be smart enough??

I want to add an anemone(pink tip) to my 150. Would all my non-clowns be smart enough to keep there distance?? My prime concern is my mandarin and green spot.
Thanks!!

its always a risk but for the most part they know to stay away from them. it also depends on which type of anemone that you look at getting. since you are afraid the fish could get hurt from it stay away from carpets they are notorious for eating fish some very large like tangs and foxfaces.

If you are getting it wanting for some clowns to host in it I would go a different route. Clowns are Pacific ocean fish...Condi's are atlantic 'Nems.
They might host, but then again they might get eaten even by a 'nem, since they are not from the same region.

yeah the condies arent a good hosting choice for clowns its not in their native area plus if they do to host in it the condy could decide to eat them. the best choice would be a BTA clone that has already adapted to captive life if you have the lighting for them and conditions are right.

Hmm, now I thought that false are really the only kind that might host one.?. I am not worried if they host up as much as making sure I dont get any roadkill.

Ok, let me be more exact on what the title at the lfs was "Pink tip". I am assuming that it is from hati but not sure. I hope this helps at all. I already have a rbta in with my maroons in one tank and still have 2 other tanks with clowns. But, only one with mh and the other is the aquapod with the normal lighting that I know is not enough. I will take a photo of the anemone to show but dont think I can get a good enough shot of him.

Pink tips are the same as condi's..that one looks rather bleached and needs to get in some nice MH lighting..2 'nems in the tank will war with each other if they get close enough

Ok, so the big tank he goes and cross my fingers--I have 250mhs on it and will take good care of him-he will also be the only nem in there

it should have a tan hue to the tenticals instead of the white. but those are not hosting anemones. and as stated already more than one of different species of anemone will war. another bad thing about the pink tips in a reef tank is that they are movers and will move all the time and can leave a path of destruction in the path.
