Would Peppermint Shrimp eat a Chromis?

Hi All.
My tank has been up about 2 months. The only things I have (did have) were 6 chromis, 2 snails, 1 hermit and 3 peppermint shrimp. The shrimp ate the aiptasia that I had, I think they ate some sort of polyp hitchiker on the live rock, but today, I'm missing one of my chromis. Any suggestions?
80 gal
100 lbs live rock
50 gal sump

It's either hiding or it died. A peppermint shimp couldn't pick off a chromis.

Peps couldn't take down a chromis. They'll eat the remains, they're scavengers.
