would you risk it?

So, I'm thinking that I need to combine my nano and my 90. Problems? Yes, I have a small lion in the 90 along with 4 damsels. The lion has never bothered or even seemed to be aware of the damsels so I'm not really worried about him bothering my clown or scooter blenny. My biggest delima is that I really wanted to get my zebra eel. I'm thinking it would be a huge risk to get one after combining tanks even if it was really small to start with. I want to know that if these were your tanks and you needed to downgrade to one would you still get the eel that you so desperately want?

First off, you are saying that you want to put the inhabitants of the nano into the 90 gallon right?
If so, the zebra eel is extremely docile and I think I might work if your willing to take a risk. It will defientely eat your inverts, if you have any. One problem I see that is not compatibilty is the size of the eel when it is full grown will but a huge bioload on your system. Also your lion may end up eating the some of the fish in your nano.

Yea, bit confused myself. If you mean you're planning to put everything into the 90gal, the problem will be the lion eating the blenny and maybe the clowns. Damsels that zip around the tank are one thing for the lion to catch, a blenny that perches on the rocks is a completely different story.
If you mean putting everyone into the nano, obviously that's not a good idea, massive bioload for a tiny tank.
I also agree that the eel will probably never touch a soul (fish at least). Zebra's are only less docile then golden dwarfs.
Lastly, what species is your "small lion?"

the zebras are very docile eels. I had one for a long time and it didnt touch anything in the tank.

First of all I did mean putting everything into the 90 of course. And my lion is an antenna lion he is very small right now. He doesn't even seem to notice there are fish in the tank with him right now. I figured if I combine the two then i will lose my inverts, which sucks, but I thought maybe if they nano fish grow a little more before combining they may have a better chance. I know the zebras are pretty docile and that's why I was asking oppinions on this. I'm thinking I may be able to keep the two sepparate so I wont have to "experiment" with my fishes lives. Thanks all for your comments and oppinions!
