well the only reason i would be a little weary is that i have strong lighting, and i think i remember reading somewhere that they won't do well in strong lighting, which i don't think mine is that strong, just a lot of algae is growing on my rocks and glass now that i have this new light and it is extremely annoying, does anyone know a way to stop the algae of control it? thanx for any help!

Light should not bother it. They love strong current. Algae is their enemy. I would take care of the algae problem first.

You need to find the source of the algae problem. cut back feeding, how long do you have your lights on? Maybe to much phosphate.

I just bought a yellow about 2 weeks ago and its going fair. I never thought it would be so difficult to put something in the dark yet have high current. However they seem to be neat once up and going. P.S. My tiger Goby keeps burying him...anyone know y?

I would test your water for phosphate. Just keep that down. Your gorgonian should be ok if you keep it at high current. The current helps keep the algae off of it. They are usually nocturnal and will open their poylps at night. I had some that opened in the morning. They are pretty when opened.
