wow first fishies

yesterday i went to the lfs and bought a baby sailfin and a pairof bangaii cardinals. i brought them home and acclimated them for about 2hrs with the drip method, and first i put the bangaii in and they hovered in one place out of the open. i had some live brine in the tank already and as soon as the sailfin was realiesed from the bag it started chasing brine. isnt that a healthy fish!!!

Give your fish time. I bet they will start eating other stuff. If they won't then you can try garlic. Also brine isn't very good nutritionaly(sp). You might try mysis shrimp.

brine isn't very nutritional? new to me. learn something new everyday. I have a sleeper goby, and that is about the only prepared food i can get him to it. i also agree with ross. give your fish sometime, they mart start eating flakes etc. my sailfin didn't eat that much prepared food when i first got him, now he inhails flake foods.

mine ate any kind of flake i fed them, total hog and a cool fish it takes them awile to get used to thier home.
