Ok, so I got some live rock and a few weeks later these little lobster like guys show up. There are only a few of them and I have no clue what they are. Yesterday I did a water change 10% of the water and nothing was there. They look like clear little shrimp and they have a hunch in their back. I included two photos, they aren't the best but you can see what I mean. Please help! Thanks! Yes, I need help with the back today I'm going to my reef store to see how I can get it the algea off the back, I am also asking him about them with this photos.

LOL...They are called amphipods and the little critters are why you buy live rock. The fish will swim around and pick at the rocks all day hunting them down for food. You want as many of these little critters as you can get.

My 2 yr old grandson...Andrew, always took the outside part of my magfloat too. I don't know what the fascination was, but I do know as he got older he did other stuff to the tank, and now he known as the fish terrorist, keep a close eye on your brother. Last incident he put his whole arm in the tank and grabbed my seahorse by the tail.

Yea, I've looked all over, he's the master of hiding things. He hides them in the weirdest places. He hid it onetime between a mattress, another in a jewelry box. So I am clueless where to look. I wasn't able to get to the store cause they're switching locations on these days. And the nearest besides that is 4 hours away and my parents really don't want to drive me there.

When and if you find it....or purchase another....leave one part in the tank to just float, and hide the other part in your drawer out of little brothers reach. Be sure to put the chemicals out of his reach as well, lots of fish stuff are toxic.
