Wpg ?

What is the proper way to calculate wpg? i have 2 150 watt MH and 4X96 watts PC, so my total wattage is 684???? right ok i have a 75 gal tank but with my fuse it's more like 100 gal total for my system. so do i divide by 75...or 100? the lights are only going to be "lighting" the 75gal... :notsure:. if i divide by 75 i get a little more than 9 wpg, which is pretty good, but if i divide by 100 i get a little less than 7....which isnt bad.... but its not a little more than 9....lol . so which way is correct? :help: thanks.... ***)

since you're only lighting the 75, then you divide by 75, and get about 9. however wpg is only a guideline for lighting as it isnt very accurate. 8 wpg of powercompact is not as good as only 5 wpg of halide. see what i mean. with your setup you're pretty good for pretty much everything, but i would keep the more light demanding sps and clams towards the top.
