Min tank size 75gal
The Lunare wrasse, like all Thalassoma genus, requires a large open water column in which to move about during the day. At night it will need several places in the rockwork to hide so it can sleep, it does not require a sandbed.
Lunare wrasses are reef safe but they will pick at small fishes, snails, serpent starfish and other small crustaceans. However, they will also gladly consume bristleworms, and mantis shrimps. Care should be taken to not add this fish to aquariums that will house very small fish as they will eat these as well. Keep with other moderately aggressive fish.
large size sold is 5"-6"

It should reside in a 70 gallon or larger aquarium with larger, aggressive tank mates, and plenty of rocks for hiding. It will become territorial and harass any new additions to the community, therefore, it should be the last fish added to the aquarium. It may be kept with a mate if the aquarium is 125 gallons or larger. It may eat mantis shrimp and bristleworms. It does not eat corals or live plants.

Maximum Size: the Thalassoma lunare grows up to 10 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Lunare Wrasse prefers a tank of at least 80 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Level of Care: The Lunare Wrasse is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Lunare Wrasse may act semi-aggressively toward other fish.
General Notes: The Thalassoma lunare or Lunar Wrasse is harmless to corals but will pick at ornamental crustaceans, snails, serpent stars, bristleworms, mantis shrimps and very small fish. Needs planty of swimming room and will harass new fish introduced to the tank if they are smaller or close in shape. Best added as one of the last fish. Keep with larger and belligerent fishes. Offer live rock with many places for them to hide in at night or when frightened as they do not bury in the sand.
