I remember a post of yours from awhile back regarding sharks. You mentioned you were getting a digital camera soon, and would be taking some pics.
I was just wondering if you have any pics of your 19,000 gallon shark tank that you would like to share? I for one, would love to see them:D

Hmm swimming with a Great white .... NO WAY !!
I'll stick to chasing rattle snakes and copper heads !! Though that in its own right , people may question my sanity :D

haha...and i thought it was dangerous trying to get close to Titan triggers because of their reputation......that is just plain insane. All I have to say is that takes balls.

Hey NOVICE150, actually I do have pic's of the thing... however it turned out only being about 16,000+. It was only a pond setup which I never had the faith to fill all the way to where I planned. To be honest, I never really liked the way it looked. There is something wrong about looking down into a pool and viewing from above.
I've just moved so give me a day or two to find pic's.... there in a box around here somewhere. The new owners actually love the thing, they call me all the time for advice. Believe it or not, it is why they bought the house. I just wish I didn't have to give up my black tips... 3 - around 3feet each. But they actually pay for them in full to come with the house. So people are strange!
So the new plan is something a lot cooler. I'm looking to build a false wall and build a fiberglass tank with a 10 foot acrylic viewing window in the family room. I'm again looking in the 20,000 range. But it's only a plan right now.
So I'll dig up the pics and post them for you...

Wrigley, i ran into this thread and saw that you used to have a huge shark pond. Did you ever post pictures. I would love to see them. My brother has a 3000 gallon shark pond. I might do something similar. Thanks

Leopardshark: My tank is doing great, thanks for asking. Actually it's doing better than I expected. Each week, when I perform my maintenance and test, I'm amazed at how good my water quality is considering what the sharks eat. Ammonia is always 0, trites 0, and trates 5-10ppm max. I realize my trates will climb over time, but I had expected them to be higher by now, or at least show some signs of increasing. I guess the water quality says alot about the filtration I'm using.
The sharks are all doing great and eating well. The black tip continues to pick off the occasional tank mate, so I've pretty much given up on adding color (colorful fish) to the tank.
I've hung lots of pictures/paintings in the basement (most of sharks) and my wife helped decorate it a bit. Still haven't had the carpet installed, so other than the decoration it looks the same.
