Hi,
A pump expert I am not...but brand and color means nothing. What you want is the power, how much water it can pump in each hour. The pump has to be strong enough to pump the water from the sump to the display without letting the water get too low up top, and at the same time the drain from the display has to drain water fast enough so that the water doesn't get too low in the sump. Somehow you have to equalize the two, I cheated and always asked for 2Quills or Acrylic51 to figure it out for me, and tell me what pump to buy...you could PM either of them with your questions about setting up your sump system.

So I think I got it figured out. Called reeflo directly because I couldn't get a hold of the company I bought it from. It is a dart/snapper hybrid 2600/3600 gph but it is a new "gold" line. Upgraded motor.

I see you have it figured out, however, the old darts are black...can't say I've ever seen a blue ReeFlo pump...
