Wrought iron stands

Can the bottom half of iron stands hold another tank? I have a 20 gallon on a wrought iron stand. I remember seeing a picture of someone having a 10 gallon QT underneath on the 'rack'. Is that safe to do? I have a wooden board on the bottom rack serving as a shelf.

depends on the stand, usually the bottom shelf is made to accomadate the same size tank as the above tank, so 2x20g in your case.

I've seen it done with no problems I think you could put another tank of the same size below it
