I can tseem to find this fish anywhere. I have looked all over online. I know i dont know all the places to look but I have googled it and looked at a lot of my bookmarked spots and I have found a few sites that say they get them but so far knowbody has them in stock. SWF.com does not even list them.
If you know where I could get one of these beauties please let me know!

from the looks of the fish, it is most probably a deep water species. So you might want to do some more research on it. Yes it is a really cool looking fish, but in a reef tank he might get stressed out to much depending on how much light you have and how much rock there is for him to hide in. Just my $.02. Still a cool fish though

 looks kind of like a couple squirrels i've seen. the color and eyes, the dorsal fin spikes are throwing me for a loop. i don't think it's deepwater though.

what's the scientific name?

Well the LFS finally got my fish and guess what! its the wrong kind. I knew it was too good to be true. The ordered me a big eye soldier fish but its not the short big eye so its not what I wanted. They assured me over and over it would be the right one. I should have known beter. Im going to call them tomorrow and see it they can send thier distributer a picture of the correct fish and hopfully they can get it right.
If anyone knows of a LFS in the milwaukee or surrounding area that has this fish please let me know. Or if you have a LFS that would ship overnight for a reasonable price.
