If you are looking for a quiet pump, I'd recommend Eheim series.

no idea on age, they came with the new (i say new but it was a running tank, its new to me haha) tank i bought about a month and a half ago, i didn't like the fact that the guy had one on either side of the sump as it made a lot of bubbles in the display so i took one out, and then i didn't like the cycle so i traded out the other mag950 with my mag1800, and both are for sell, i shipped a lot of pumps i haven't checked your zip but the price on the other 4 pumps i sent where 9 pounds was 4 pumps, and costed 18 dollars, i shipped a box that was 18 pounds to new-guy and shipping was about the same, i dont think shipping would be that much for 1 or 2 mag drives
my zip is 74014 if your interested, but yes as spiderwoman mentioned, mag drives have a vibration and a pad keeping it off the bottom and something to keep the return hose from touching the side of the tank is needed or you'll get a vibrating sound
