WTB Shells

WTB shells for VERY small red/blue leg crabs. All I can find anywhere are larger ones... that my snails could put their entire snail into. If no one has any... can you tell me where to find them?

Where I live I have to travel to get to a lfs that has saltwater fish. lol... the one's that they have here.. I wouldn't trust putting in my worst enemy's tank. (salt talks look terrible and have aquarium gravel in them. lol)

We find shells in places like the arts and crafts sections of Wal MArt, and stores ike Pier One Imports, World MArket etc. There is numerous sites on line that sells so called seashells, and they give pics and descriptions of the various shells (geared to collectors). We have a few hermits sportiing some really neat pearl looking type shells........too ad they do not stay looking that way for long.....

I have very large hermits, but that's what I do too. It's much cheaper than buying shells marketed for hermits. I have a hard time finding shells big enough for mine.

How small are we talking? I have lots of shells leftover from packages I've bought for mine. I just have them out for decoration in my master bath. I'll look to see what I've got. I'd be more than happy to mail them to you if I have any that would work.

I have them from snall as the end of an ink pen to as big as a nickle. My tank is new so I don't have any at all for them to move in unless they start killing my snails to move in. OH NO!!

They might do that even if you have shells for them. One of mine just did. I've got about 10 or so shells that will probably work for you if you'd like them. Email me if you want them. I'm sure I could stick them in a bubble pak and mail it to ya pretty cheap.

Do these have finishes that will hurt the animals in my tank? I tried to buy some at the LFS yesterday but they only had the very strangely painted type for large hermit crabs.

these are nassuraus snail shells. All of my blue legs at the snails and are now living in them but I have alot of extra. Will work great. If u send a email I can forward pics.
