I'm just getting started in a small way and I want a simple light set up. I would rather have a VHO set up than a MH but I would consider either if I can afford it. Shipped to 63953
Thanks!

I just want to have a couple of anemones, a few mushrooms and Zoo's. An HO might work, but I would prefer the VHO in case I want to get some more difficult corals later on. You know how it is, you start small and the next thing you know your setting up another 120! :happyfish

Hi, If you are interested in using a VHO retro setup, i have an ARO electronic ballast that will run a total of 220 watts(ballast works great & was used 2 weeks). You can use 2x75w, 2x95w or 2x110w bulbs on this ballast. I also have 2 pair of waterproof endcaps and standoffs. If you need 36" bulbs, i have (2)95w URI superactinic bulbs, i brand new and one has 4 months use on it and (1) 95w actinic white(used four months) . I also may have a few 75w VHOs too if you are needing 24" bulbs, i'll need to check on that though.

I need to end up with 36 in total length. How much to set me up with that size?

Hi, i measured one of the 36" bulbs with the waterproof endcaps and total length is 36-1/2" each.
For the retro kit including:220 watt ARO Electronic ballast, (2) pair of endcaps, (2) pair of standoffs, power plug and the (3) URI brand VHO bulbs mentioned. I paid $130 for the bulbs and ballast alone, four months ago, i had the endcaps and standoffs from a previous set. I figure $95 shipped to 63953 would be a fair price.
thanks..Bob

I have a 2x96w 36" PC w/ lunar lights. Less then 4 months old. Currently on a 92g corner tank (about 24"high) successfully keeping 2 anemones, bunch or mushrooms, and other moderate light corals.
$100 + shipping.
