yeah, it has like a power box it's pretty big. Anyway, coming off of that is your HD cables and your regular audio video. I hooked mine directly up to the tv. Then there is a switch that you can switch if you want regular or HD TV. I seen both and HD is incredible. The system is awesome we've already watched dvd's and everything. You can turn the box itself off/on fron the wirless controller also it's got a lot of cool stuff....

come with facts. oh wait there are no facts on the ps3 yet.

i will admit that it is a going to be a great system however it will not being blowing anything away. they will both have tehre high and low points but over all it will be a toss up. to many people get caught up in a bunch of fancy numbers that in the real world mean nothing. in my case just like i did with the old systems i will own both

The only time raising prices on any item is "illegal" is if that item is a commodity item and the area that you are selling it in is under state of emergency. IE: Major earthquake hits, declared a state of emergency, and you're charging $50 for a gallon of gas.
All other situations aside from that are not price gouging - they are market driven supply and demand.
There's a whole lesson to be learned from supply and demand and how raising prices in times of strife is actually VERY important to ensure everyone gets some. Good example: If there's a hurricane and there's a limited supply of gasoline (and everyone knows that the gas will run out) - if the price stays at the low, for instance $2.00 a gallon, everyone will run out - and stock up and deplete the supply. Thus causing a shortage. Now - if you were to run the price up to $4 a gallon, those that do not absolutely need the gas will not pay for it, thus keeping the supply high and the distribution equal...
Basic economics...
There's absolutely nothing wrong with what people are doing with the Xbox on ----...

I guess if you are desparate to have this console, then you will do it. But its silly, since it doesn't even have that many games yet and is not even backwards compatible unless you buy the full xbox AND have broadband for software downloads.
In two months, the stores will be well stocked with this gaming machine.
It is not illegal in the sense that there has to be some sort of consipiracy for it to be price gouging... technically. Thats the beuty of auction sites, wheeler-dealers can buy several from where ever they have the hook-up, and double their money instantly. I am with you though, wait till after christmas and you can pay $400 like everyone else will.

Once Christmas comes around people will easily be willing to offer $1000 for them....
9,200 or 9,400 on ----. We watched it go. That was the night after it was relesed.
Besides, kids shouldn't spend all thier time playing video games, they should be outside playing or reading or such.

anything imported is legal price gouging during the current state of america.
period.
capitalism kindof makes us the worldwide "female dog" of all other countries taking advantage of us. drudge had a report on how our border patrol's uniforms are made in mehico.
our gov is just a bit screwed at this point. it'll come back i hope.

I've had both xbox and ps2. Xbox was way better and never broke like 2 ps2's did. I don't know if I'll ever own another playstation because of all the problems. I'm loving our new 360 it's so awesome. PS3 might come out and be good or maybe even a little bit better and I'd almost say it's because they're releasing after the 360 so now they can chance and modify to be better. It'll have to be way impressive for me to get one. I've learned from my own experiences.

if you are that desperate that you feel the need to purchase a video game system for $1000, then you have other issues than feeling price gouged

Wrong, Xbox is going through a worldwide release. The stores will not be fully stocked until at least 3-4 months after release date. My store hasnt gotten any for a month after release. Best buy in general has bought 100,000 of the 400,000 released worldwide. If you want one now you will pay more than double the price. If you want to wait, wait a good 3-4 months, Cause its gonna take that long.
