xenia has white patch at base

One of my xenias has a white patch at the base,doesnt seem to be affecting it at this time.has anyone heard of this before?

A picture would be great, but it sounds like a dead spot.
No need to worry unless it takes over the whole xenia in a couple days.
The xenia should grow over it.
I had 3 colonies of xenia that turned white and died but came back with new shoots in a couple days.

Does it look like this? I just noticed this on my xenia. Its a tad blurry but the white patch looks like its protruding from the stalk.

The white patch was a little bigger,and after a day or so the xenia grew over it.But this happened also 1 year ago and the patch grew so big I had to cut the patch out.I divided the xenia into 3 sections and they all lived.
