xenia kinda shrinking

my xenia have started to deflate and look small when just a month ago they were nice plump and pink and pulsating like crazy. my nitrates are always below 5 no matter how much i over feed. yea im actually trying to raise it a little! my brother told me why not blast some protein skimm on the colony. it made sense to me since they like crappy water but whats ur opinions? how do u revive these coral? ive tried iodine spot blasting and still no improvement.

Check your iodine levels. Salifert makes a test kit. You may need to add some. Xenia like iodine. I had some die off on me and LFS suggested this. Xenia is doing great now.
