does a xenia have the potential to sting or agitate a colony of polops that is next to it will it stress and kill the colony?

All corals have the ability to sting and kill each other if they are being placed too closely together.

Xenia are pretty passive. They do excrete some toxin when agitated, which could be a concern in a small tank. All in all a pretty safe bet. They can spread like weeds whith the right parameters.
