 Hello just a quick question about xenias. What is the best current for them. And any good advice on keeping them in shape.
Thanks.

Xenia's that i've kept were very hardy and they adapted very well to my water condition(it wasn't the best water condition , trust me :D ) I tried several different water currents for them, when they were expoed to direct water current, they tended to close up... so i blew the water current directly above them ... and that seemed to do it well(they were opening up and closing... and all that other cool stuff) :D :D

I have mine in medium/low current to see the beauty of the pulsing. Also, they are under 110w pc & 30w NO lighting and are kept higher in my 45g. I've had these for about six months and they usually pulse like crazy. :D HTH

van787,
I just brought my xenias home last weekend but can already agree with what the other people have told you. I initially placed the xenia under a ph that was about half way up my 45. They didn't seem to like that......stayed closed for much of the day. I moved the ph up to almost the top of the tank and they, so far, look great! My lighting is 175w 10K MH and 2 95w VHO actinics. I have the xenia at the bottom of the tank.
