As you stated AWESOME NEWS!!! That is great! Any thing that reproduces, shows good signs!!!! You are getting better at this I must admit!!!!
But you will notice that your Xenia will reproduce at a rapid rate!!!! Enjoy it...... an PIX PLEASE!!!!!!

Justed got one today,it was attached to a rock with a lom,not sure what that is,lfs said it need lots of light, kinda looked like the inside of a clam, but still not sure what it is,an what do you feed your xenia, lfs said the xenia is gonna mutiple like crazy

They can be pretty tough. I bought a frag...it wasn't happy and came off the rock. I found it (basically a puddle of goo) a couple weeks later tucked under a rock. It didn't get any light under that rock, so I figured it was a goner. I rubberbanded it to a rock...with good flow & light...it's come back better than ever...almost 4 inches tall now with 12-16 polyps! Best $5 I've put in my tank.

I have had mine for a while and WOW do they reproduce?
I mean in not too long IM going to have to start getting rid of it. It's started to form an entire carpet across my tank.
Im getting a new complete stem about every week.

i am no expert but from what i have learned many people feel as though xenia rely soley on photosynthesis and that they actually do little to no filter feeding

Can a Xenia get to much light? After you aclimate it to your tank, how should you adjust you lighting schedule, or should you keep it the same

I imagine that you can burn them...I have pc's so I don't think that's an issue. I just ran my lights like normal after introducing the Xenia...wasn't much to it. The most difficult part for me was transportation...they didn't handle that very well.

Sometimes they take a little while to wake up and inflate. How much flow is on them? Is it steady? Mine prefer not being blasted...but having the water roll over them like a wave. I use the Hydor Flo attachment on 2 powerheads...works great!

The branches of the xenia are all keeled over ,its not moving just the water flow is making it move, also attacted to the rock is a lobophyllia its some kind of brain coral

I've talked with the LFS and they said Xenia does not take to tanks that have good water quality. If your tank is in there eyes dirty, Xenia will do well.
Irondog, your tank conditions are perfect. That could be why Xenia is melting. My friend claims to have perfect conditions and Xenia grows like a weed in his tank. Just a thought but I don't know.
