So yesterday after having like a 30% chance of rain. Well we got about 9-11 inches depending where you are at in about 4 hours.
Most of these are close to my house. We are ok. The've been building water retention areas in our area that are 15 foot deep and 5 or 10 acres, they're all flooded.

And this one is right around the corner.

I wanna know who the morons are who build underpasses in Houston.

If there are minorities involved, then it is certainly George W Bush's fault that you are suffering these flooded streets.

I am in Houston this week visiting my mom. I took my son to the park on Saturday (before the storms) and I found the park completely under water. Try explaining to an almost 2 year old that he can't play because the park has "too much agua." Where did that water come from? It rained Friday night for a few minutes. If that didn't drain, than the rain we got yesterday really isn't going to drain!
My sister has a theory that the drainage systems have not been properly cleaned out after Ike. What do you think?

Seems like it works to me. It rained ALOT last friday. And it rained even more yesterday. You're talking 12-18 inches between those two storms in some areas.

That and houston likes to make parks out of low lands. And those are designed at run off locations.

sorry man dont like houston too much i despise the city although it is named after a great uncle
first time i was there i got gas well the person putting gas in the underground tank accidentally pumped diesel in there instead blew the head gaskets on my truck had to drive all the way back to houston
last time i had an extended stay i was driving tractor trailer on a dedicated for home depot i hate houston streets are atrocious have to take up all 4 lanes when makeing a right hand turn because the light poles are right on the corners not fun
last night i was there and left the company had a full load going to a store from a distro center about 6 months ago had to tarp it in the rain and when i got to the store i was told to untarp it he would be out in a few minutes well 20 minutes passed all the material on my trailer untarped and i was soaking cause it was pouring hardddddd
went back in he said he forgot he would be right out 30 minutes went by went back in asked for him he had left for the night ended up dropping my trailer there that night heading back to the truck stop to go take a shower and getting dry and to hit the hay for they night
went to sleep and got up in the morning to go get my trailer got to the home depot it was still loaded i threw a fit they tried to blame it on me as to why everything was water damaged
i said hell no look at your cameras dude left without unloading he was fired on the spot they unloaded my trailer and i went back to the distro center and turned my keys in as my wife pulled into the parking lot i was not happy about that bs at all
i will come down to houston to visit family but i will not be staying there any longer than a day hahhahahhahahaha

he is making fun of kanya west after what he said during katrina. Calling Bush a racist and blaming him for the hurricane and the slow response.
