YAY!!! i got a spotted manderin goby!!

i love its face!

i have sooooo many copepods. i think its going to be really happy. it looks kinda thin but i hope it will fatten up.
im guessing its a male. i have a lot of cope pods towards the middle/top of my tank and its picking at the sand and the rocks on the sand. can they swim up?

they scoot along. he will find food. do you have a serious fuge going and lots of rock work?

its kinda like a little sump. when i take out those filter sponges (dont know what they are called) there are swarms of them. i have lots of rocks and tons of copepods that move in and out of them.
there are some that are as big as a small sexy shrimp.

im kinda worried that it wont be able to eat some of the pods cause some are pretty big.

well these guys will eat more than you can imagine. Just make sure you have a healthy pod population in the next few weeks. You may now but once he starts to eat you may not. If not Id look into building a fuge then they will breed like crazy in there.

very pretty. yes he is a male. i have a female and they are very interesting little fish. make sure he has plenty of pods to much and he will fatten up. the colors might brighten a little, but some of that depends on your light.

nice looking mandarin. its a male bc of the high dorsal fin.

oh and i have one more question. i have seen some other spotted mandarins and those puffs around the eyes seem to look bigger than mine. what it that from?
