Very cool mushrooms!!! Put a pic of that sea apple up, ive always thought they were gogeous, but worried about it dying and killing my tank.

I was scared too... it's so worth it IMO. They are beautiful when they open. It's just a little ball here... will post more when it feed tonight.

I used to have a sea apple....When I was uninformed and always wondered why my tank crashed then I did some research and found out why...Not downing on your purchase....Was the rock of mushrooms and the SA $74 or was just the shrooms....
They do look neat when they feed dont they...The one I had had the whiteish purple feelers...

NigerBang - Just the rock with the mushrooms. I have had the SA for about 6 months now. It was actually a gift from my parents. They didn't do any research, so when I found out about them after getting it, was a little scared... but is working out well. They are cool when they eat. The feeders on this one are orange and red.

i was wondering....how much can that Sea Apple worth at LFS ??
i just got it from LFS for $32 and was wondering if it's good deal...mine a little bit bigger that yours...
and what do you feed him ??

Ive seen them for 60 at the LFS, and for 19.99$ at a chain pet store that has SW fish. So i would say good deal.

Not for that many heads I wouldn't think so. I have to pay 15 a polyp and they are not that big. She has over 15 polyps on there. I would be ecstatic!

pretty mushrooms but i think a little overpriced......
i picked up a zoa rock with 120 polyps for 40$ just as a comparison

If you are paying 15 dollars a polyp for srhooms then you need to find a new fish store, those should be in the $2 range

I'm curious to know what the LFS had paid for that rock to begin with... $25-30, maybe? It's upsetting.

after reading this web *****
and today after work i found out that my sea apple did not move a spot and his so called Mouth slash Anus did not open/closing im worried if this guy going to kill my tank

i did not find any writing about this...is this normal ??
