Hiyas, about 2-3 days ago i posted for help here on NH4 spike. Well things changed within a day o.o i had moved the fish to another tank and they started to eat again a day late the main tank came back to normal
i waited and things got better^^ my fish are now in the main tank and things seem almost perfect.
Nitrate=10
HP=8.2
salt=1.021-1.022
NH4 ammonia= 0mg/l

i had one question though o.o my protein skimmer seems to be leeching micro bubbles into my tank i read somewhere else about this but and said it needed to stop, they never gave any reasons why this could lead to problems. i guess it will lead to the same action as the protein skimmer makes to get fats/ect out of the water but in my tank. sooo o.o how do i stop it? only thing i can see to do is to put a sponge or cloth where its leeching into the tank. do i need to bother with a FO tank?
ps thanks for the help before 2-3 days ago xD

i got the skimmer from a store i used to live by but its about 3-4 years old. it is a filter/skimmer it has two carbine filters. I have not seen it in any online store or i would get a link : / but i will try and get a pic or two of it to post. the leeching is coming from the part where it sucks up water the plastic seems to be to loose and waters flowing back into the tank.

I"m not horribly familiar with skilters so a picture would be great.

Heres the skimmer pics are not great hope it helps =P

This is where its leeching where the sucking tube is coming down.

so will it damage anything in the tank? or build up gunk? i don't have any corals /ect just a shrimp and snails and fish.

The flowrate through your filter is lower than the pumps output so it backs up and spills over at the Utube slot. If you replace that filter pad you shouldn't have the problem anymore. (they get dirty quick when starting off the tank.)

i guess i should raise them then. i just replaced the filters =o raising them lets more water through. one last thing o_O can you tell me what the micro bubbles might affect?
