Started about a month ago. PH 8.2 Cal. 425, KH 8, Amm. Trite, Trate, Phos - 0 Temp 78 Sal 33.5ppt. 4 96wt PC 2-10K 2-actinic....Withing next 2 wks New hood with 2x175 10k MH 1-250 20k. (starting hood tomorrow). This is just started, so VERY empty.
Green, Red, and undecided brains...

Full tank.........needs alot more rock til UGF is low enough to cover w/ sand. This has little giant pump for return from wet/dry filled with base rock, and skimmer thats not even plugged in, tbs of gunk in a weeks time, so left off for little bit.

Im trying something different. I suffered old sand syndrom about a year ago in my 55 (5yr set up), so I took the idea from a guy with an awsome setup. He uses a turkey baster to blast under the grid to keep if from developing dead spots and detrius build up.

Old sand - too much build up under rocks, ect....poisons tank, went bare bottom for little while, but I luv the look with the sand.....just trying something new.

Undecided brain - Free back in Aug. Was pitch white and put in a tank with a butterfly for his dinner. I couldnt stand it so they gave to me.

Thanks NM, it will be a slow process. Most of the rock is base rock (from my yard.....disclaimer......dont try this at home)
Thats alot of space I need to fill, and very close to the holidays so , my daugters embaressed to tell the other kids in the class that her mommy wants rock for christmas!!
Then again, its all about taking your time!!!

Pcked up last night....hes in my 55 now with the MH, wont put in 180 til lights are switched.....hope he'll come around with lights (was under PC...little bleached) Green carpet for $12.99! Nemo luvs it already!!
