Yes I have a yellow cucumber and would like to ask how to feed him. He looks like he is shrinking so I am thinking he is not eating. . . Say that fast 3 times. . .

I have had him for over 5 months. I was told he would just open his mouth and eat by filtering the water. So if I am wrong about this, pleas inform me.

Your water may be nutrient poor. I have two of these guys and feed them DTs and other invert food.

So how do I check my water nutrients? And how do you feed him? Do you just put the DT in the tank and let him fined it. I have taken an eye dropper and sent some food his way but he will just close up. . . .

Unfortunately, it is starving, and slowly digesting its internal organs. At some point, it may not be able to pull around. It is imperative that you start dosing with at least some sort of liquid diet or something. Generally, spot feeding is tricky....they often do not like extremely high food concentrations such as if you squirt food directly at them. It is important to establish a regular feeding schedule with it.
Does the cuke still extend tentacles? It will find its own ideal spot to feed depending on currents, etc. Never try and pry a cuke away from an area in hopes of putting it in a better spot. This tend to cause more harm then good, even with the best intentions. Just get some DTs and other liquid (small particulate) foods in there regularly and see if he pulls through. But watch water quality as it is food and can foul the water.

Yes he is still extend tentacles but not as big as befour. When you say "spot feeding" I dont understand what that is.

I fully agree with Ophiura. Spot feeding is doing what you did, squirt food directly at the animal with a dropper.

Live marine phytoplankton, DT is just the brand name.

DT's is a live phytoplankton product that must be kept refrigerated. Your LFS should have it or can get it for you. It's not cheap but it's the best thing for most filter feeders. Check the expiration date on the bottle and make sure it's not close to expiring.
