Yes, they are medium size. Are you sure you'll bail me out if they don't work together?
Yes. I wanted one more tang, and a hippo is about all that will probably get along with my other tangs. And it would have to be at least a medium for my tank. The others are picky. I'll take him now if you don't want him. It's just the drive issue, and I don't expect you to meet. Go ahead and get him and if you don't want him, we can figure it out. My QT is down at the moment so I would need for you to QT them together anyway. If they are together now, they should be fine for the QT period together.

It's a deal. I'm going to QT them anyways like you said, so I should know in 3 weeks how they are doing. I may move them out of the QT sooner as I know Larry has had them in self contained QT for 3 weeks already and they are healthy.

My QT just freed up this morning. Our new Midas Blenny did her time in the QT and I released her into the big tank. Cleaner shrimp went after her right away. I guess they had missed their little clients during the 8 weeks that the tank was empty.
Please tell me you'll be posting some pictures of your midas blenny in her new, larger aquarium real soon! I'm a sucker for any blenny . . . .

I will take pics as soon as she shows up. She is hiding under one of the large bridge rocks. Her coloration is still the *stress* coloration but at least she is peeking from there like she has some interest for her new surroundings.

You know my word is all good.
QT them both together and let me know what you decide.

I bought my YB blue here on SWF.com. It was a little expensive, but worth EVERY penny spent. They are amazingly beautiful fish. Mine is 6 inches. I love it.

I see that little *big* fellow in your avatar. Beautiful!!!
Well I'm seeing a few little white spots on the Tang. Not sure yet if they are dirt that is floating in the water, but his little dashes for the PVC and rubbing against it is a sign for me that I'll start lowering the salinity today to enter hypo.
This is what I really dislike about Hippo's. They may look perfectly healthy and everything in a QT and once you move them to another tank, the stress of the move lets ick show up if it's dormant in the fish.
Question though, would it show this quickly? The Hippo went into the QT less than 24 hours ago and there was no ick in the QT, I'm 100% sure of that.

My YB showed ich about 48 hours after I put it in the display. It took 3-5 days for it to go away. I love this fish so much. Yours is looking nice! I wouldn't be too worried about the ich unless it gets really bad. Of course, treat it, but don't worry too much.

The spots look like fine sand, similar to what is the *dirt* in the bottom of the tank. It would be odd for ick to show up so strong in after a few hours to under a day when the QT for sure was ick free.
