yellow, not mellow?

are yellow tangs peaceful? If i add a yellow tang to the tank as the first fish, will he be aggressive to new comers. i want to add a sailfin also so thats what i am really concerned about. the yellow tang is about 3", and i want to get the sailfin as small as possible. Thanks:)

They can be territorial towards other tangs. They also like ALOT of swimming room.

I would add the two tangs at the same time after you have all the other fish you want. If you get them pretty small then they should get along ok.

In a 75 yes. A yellow tang will very likely exhibit some aggressive behavior to fish added after him. I've seen and heard it plenty of times before. I'd say your odds are 50/50 not to mention wasting your money if you are wrong.
Stick to one tang in there if possible as well. The yellow is far more suited to a 75 than a sailfin. Keep in mind sailfin tangs can reach 15 inches in body size, so tack on another couple of inches for fins.....

swaqaruim you got lucky. I've heard plenty of yellow terror stories of them in small for tang tanks..... Especially when they get bigger and established. :)
But fish are like people and they all have different tempraments and personalities....
